Ellis HealthySteps program makes difference in lives of local families
Thursday, June 30, 2022
HealthySteps is a national program that provides early childhood development support to families through a network of pediatric primary care offices. It got a big boost recently, in the form of a $46.5 million investment by Blue Meridian Partners that will allow the program to double in size nationwide by 2027.
Ellis Medicine is a proud member of HealthySteps. Bernadette McDaniel, Grant Program Manager/HealthySteps Coordinator at the Ellis Pediatric Health Center, spends her days identifying gaps in the developmental, physical, and social needs of children and their parents and connecting these families with essential resources. She also works nationally as a HealthySteps Ambassador.
Spectrum News showcased Bernadette’s work with one local family and the difference it has made in their lives. Click below to learn more and watch the Spectrum News story.
