The
Ellis Health Center is home to a variety of outpatient services, with a
focus on primary care and wellness medicine.
Ellis Medicine's Medical Home is an
innovative approach to improving access to health care services. In
fact, New York State Health Commissioner Dr. Richard F. Daines said the
Ellis Medical Home, which looks at the holistic health of the community
and incorporates the use of electronic health records, is quite
remarkable and a real model.
The Medical Home services include:
A Community Shuttle
provides free transportation to the Medical Home, stopping at seven
locations in Schenectady.
In addition to the Medical Home services, the Ellis Health Center also
features a day surgery program, diagnostic imaging (including digital
mammography), laboratory testing, a wound care center and a sleep
disorders center.
