Lifeline

LifeLineLifeline is a personal response and support service offered by Ellis Hospital.

This service enables you to continue to live independently in your own home, and provides the peace of mind that you and your loved ones deserve. Lifeline minimizes complications that might arise from your living alone, by making sure that you quickly get help when you need it. This may mean dispatching an ambulance or simply calling a neighbor to look in on you.

How it Works

Lifeline gives you - the subscriber - the confidence and freedom to live on your own because there’s always someone standing by to help whenever you need it - 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. Whenever you need help, one press of a button on the Lifeline Monitor activates a small in-home unit called a communicator. It puts you in touch with a caring Lifeline Representative who finds out what kind of help you need.

LifeLineThe Lifeline Representative will call one of your friends, neighbors, or relatives - "responders" - who will come to your home to check on you. If more professional help is needed, the Monitor will call for it immediately. And if you press the button and cannot speak, the Lifeline Representative knows exactly what to do.

With Lifeline, your loved ones can rest assured that you are safe, secure and happy in your own home. If you do need help, the Lifeline Representative will call the right kind of help you need. This may mean dispatching an ambulance or simply calling a neighbor to look in on you.

Safety, Security and Satisfaction

While people choose Lifeline for a number of reasons, they remain subscribers largely because of the caring response they get from Lifeline Representatives every time they push their help buttons. Lifeline takes the time to learn all about our subscribers. So when a subscriber presses his/her button, the highly trained Lifeline Representative who answers the call, knows the subscriber’s special needs and interests before he/she says a word.

The price of Lifeline is surprisingly affordable, and there is no need to make a long term commitment. To contact Lifeline at Ellis Hospital call 518.243-4681.
