Ellis Hospital, founded in 1885, is Schenectady County's only hospital, now providing the services of the former Bellevue Woman’s Hospital and the former St. Clare’s Hospital. Ellis has 455 licensed beds and serves more than 20,000 inpatients and 530,000 outpatients each year.

With more than 600 affiliated physicians, 3,400 employees, three campuses and five additional service locations, Ellis is proud to provide a lifetime of care for patients - from maternity, acute hospital care and outpatient services to nursing home care.
