Your philanthropic investment and generosity yields high returns at Ellis Medicine.

In the last three years, The Foundation has invested more than $16 million in Ellis Medicine and the health of our community. Your gifts helped finance the new Bellevue Woman’s Care Center, the Southern Saratoga Enhanced Urgent Care Center and the planned expansion of the Golub Center for Emergency Services. Your generosity has also provided new breast imagining equipment to help diagnose breast cancer at its earliest stages, purchased new anesthesia machines for our operating rooms and made renovations to expand capacity at the Family Health Center and the Dental Clinic.

In addition, your investment provided for continuing education for our clinical staff and underwrote the free shuttle service to the Ellis Health Center for the community’s most vulnerable population.

In 2011, Ellis cared for 21,000 inpatients and 539,000 people as outpatients. Ellis Medicine is providing extraordinary care to:

• 86,000 people who came to Ellis for life saving emergency care. Ellis has the busiest Emergency Department in the Capital Region!
• 1,000 patients who were diagnosed and treated for strokes, spinal injuries, headaches, seizures, dizzy spells and other neurological problems.
• 2,400 women who had outpatient surgery at Bellevue Woman’s Care Center.
• 1,200 people who received new hips, knees or other orthopedic surgery.
• 2,000 people diagnosed and treated with heart disease.
• 2,600 new babies born at the Bellevue Woman’s Care Center.
